What we want
Under a Vernal Moon is an anthology of lunar horror.
We want stories of transformation, hunger, instinct, old curses, strange rites, creatures in the darkness, and things that change when the moon rises. Give us predators beneath moonlight, bodies that refuse to remain what they were, ancient hungers, impossible rituals, and whatever waits for the right phase of the moon to return.
Werewolves are welcome, but the moon belongs to far more than wolves.
This is not limited to folk horror, creature horror, or any particular setting. We want the moon to matter. How it matters is entirely up to you.
Make it lunar. Make it horror. Where you take us from there is up to you.

Rights & Payment
Standard Black Anchor anthology terms
Payment: $0.01 USD per word (one cent US per word), paid by PayPal or check by mail.
Black Anchor Publishing acquires first English-language worldwide publication rights with a six-month exclusivity period following publication. After that period, Black Anchor retains non-exclusive rights to keep the work available as part of the anthology. All other rights remain with the author.
No reprints. Submitted work must be original and previously unpublished.
