The Last Sounding
A historical cosmic horror novel of piracy, obsession, command, and the abyssal thing that waits beyond charted waters.
In the waning days of the Golden Age of Piracy, Captain Harrow and the crew of the Ravaged Wench carve profit from blood, salt, and sea. Discipline and violence have carried them farther than braver men ever dared. But when rumor of a crippled ship draws the Wench west by north from Port Royal, the promise of salvage leads Harrow and his crew into waters where compasses spin, prayers go unanswered, and the sea itself no longer obeys the laws of God or man.
As strange winds gather around the ship and men begin vanishing into the black water, fear and superstition spread through the crew. Yet something older and far more dangerous than any storm has fixed its attention upon Captain Harrow. Far from land and beyond the reach of mercy, the Ravaged Wench sails toward a darkness from which no man returns unchanged.
The Last Sounding is a work of historical cosmic horror steeped in maritime dread, obsession, violence, and the terrible beauty of the unknown.
